BUTLER MOTOR SPEEDWAY  - 2009 STREET STOCKS RULES

1. CHASSIS American Made cars or full size Uni-body cars. Stock wheelbase of 108 inches or more minimum.

2. BODY All glass, chrome, and upholstery must be removed. Top May be removed to install the roll cage, but the top must be replaced in the stock location. Doors can be cut out for door bars. Trunk area may be cut to allow for mandatory fuel cell. The Fuel cell must be a steel container with two inch by 1/8 inch steel strap on each side to securely mount the fuel cell. Body must be mounted in stock location.  Body must be steel stock appearing body. No aluminum panels. Plastic or aftermarket noses are allowed but cannot be the Late Model slope aerodynamic type nose.  Nose must be stock appearing for make of car. Rub bars max 1” x 1” only, no squared off corners bolt heads out.

3. ENGINE No aluminum blocks or heads allowed.  Angle plug heads are ok. No aluminum intakes or headers. Roller tip or roller rockers are allowed. The engine and body must be manufactured by the same corporate manufacturer. (I.E., GM, to GM, Ford to Ford, etc.)

4. IGNITION HEI distributors are allowed.  No MSD boxes

5. RADIATOR Aluminum radiators are allowed. 

6. CARBURETOR Single feed, single pumper only. Demon carbs are ok or 2 Brl.-4412..

7. SUSPENSION Stock in front, no screw jacks or screw cups. No cutting of upper or lower A arms. Shocks and springs must be in stock location.  Tubular upper arms ok stock length for car and in stock mounts, stock lower arms unibody cars must tie front & rear subs, rear screw jacks ok. Do not have to weld, trailing arms to be in stock mounts with no adjustments, stock leaf springs in stock location. No slider boxes, no third links and no adjustments.

8. WEIGHT is 3000 pounds at all times with or without drivers. All Weights must be securely mounted with two half inch bolts and be painted white with the car number clearly marked.  All weights must be mounted under the body of the car.

9. DRIVE SHAFTS must be painted white and must remain white all season.

10. REAREND 9" ford OK. No floaters. Rear ends may be locked.

11. TRANSMISSION Automatic only with working torque converter.  NO transmission coolers in driver’s compartment.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

12. CONSTRUCTION A competition-type 4 point roll cage is required and must be constructed with tubing that is a minimum of one and one-half inches in diameter, with a minimum of .095 wall thickness.  A minimum of three horizontal door bars is required in the driver's door.  A minimum of three horizontal door bars are required for the passenger's side of the car.  Three driver protection bars are required in the windshield ahead of the driver of at least ½" tubing.  You may run front and rear bars through the stock firewall, with 1 kicker bar to the frame.  A radiator protection bar is optional.

13. WHEELS Steel racing wheels up to eight inches maximum width are allowed.  No aluminum or mag wheels or homemade wheels are allowed.  One inch lug nuts are mandatory on both sides of the vehicle. No Bead Locks.

14. TIRES Any 70 or 60 series street DOT tire (American Racer 70 series optional).

15.  WRECKER HOOK UP – Front and Rear hook ups MANDATORY – cable or chain preferred.  Tow hook cannot extend in front of car.  Please put them on – Thank you.

16. MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT

• SNELL SA 2000 approved helmet with sticker (in 2008 will be 2000)
• Flame retardant diver suit
• Flame retardant racing gloves
• Some type of neck restraint device must be worn at all time on the track Neck collar, Hans devise, D-cell or G-force 
• Inside of roll cage must have protection padding where head can make contact
• 5 point seat belts must have manufactured tag with date not to exceed 5 years old. Belts must be installed to manufacturer's specifications.
• An operational 2-½ pound minimum fire extinguisher with gauge visible for inspection purpose mandatory.
• All cars must have aluminum racing seat and attached directly to roll cage
• Mandatory 1/8" steel for drivers door.
• All cars must run a window net on driver's side that latches at the top. Mandatory.
• Aluminum racing seat is mandatory.
